Hello and welcome to Itches with Stitches. We're Michelle and Anj, and we pour our heart into creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind handmade pieces just for you.
From beaded memory trees and treasured memory bears made from your loved ones' clothing, to patchwork cushions and blankets, and practical yet charming mobile phone and tablet holders, every item is made with lots of care and attention to detail.

Our Story
Itches with Stitches began with a needle, some thread, and a love for making things from scratch. What started as a simple hobby has grown into a small collection of handmade keepsakes — each one made with care, patience, and a lot of heart.
From memory trees beaded flower by flower — around 500 petals on each one, and a small swing with an angel resting among the branches — to memory bears sewn from a loved one's own clothes, every piece is cut out and stitched by hand. A machine is used where one is genuinely needed, but the care, the cutting and the stitching are all ours — and no two pieces are alike.
With the bears, nothing goes to waste: whatever fabric is left once the bear is finished is sewn into a small pouch and tucked inside, so every last piece stays with them.
We're based in Blackburn, Lancashire, in the North West, and post orders anywhere in the UK.

Keepsakes
A memory tree made for your loved one. Around 500 beads and petals go into every tree, each one threaded and placed by hand, and colours can be made to order to suit the person you're gifting it to, or thinking of. Each tree comes with a little swing hanging from one of the branches, with an angel sitting on it, and can be finished with lights if you'd like a little extra glow.
For Little (and Big) Ones
Custom made from a loved one's favourite clothing or blankets. Every bear is unique to the fabrics you send, and any left-over pieces are tucked into a pouch sewn inside the bear, so nothing is lost.
Wrapped in Memories
Patchwork blankets and cushions pieced together from a loved one's clothes, square by square. A gentle way to use more of a wardrobe than a single keepsake allows, and something you can actually curl up under.
